Constitution Day was September 17, so we learned about the 7 Articles of the Constitution. Each article talks about different parts of our government here in the United States of America.
The first 3 articles are about the different "branches;" lawmakers, leaders, and judges.
The 4th article explains that not only does the country have those 3 branches, the state has 3 branches and each city and town has 3 branches. The lawmakers, leaders and judges are called something different at each level, but they do similar jobs.
The 5th article tells that changes can and will be made to the Constitution, the 6th says that no state or local laws can go against the Constitution, and the 7th article has the names of the leaders who signed the Constitution back in 1789.
